Jamb now introduced a way of checking result.
The new way required from Jamb to check your result is to purchase a card called Jamb e-Bundle. At the initial time checking your result was free.

After the announcement of the availability of the 2014 JAMB UTME results online, we have been receiving calls, mails and messages from various social media networks regarding how to check the result for free since the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board requires participants to purchase an e-bundle card to access their results.

We initially shared a procedure to check JAMB UTME results for free, but JAMB has currently placed a temporary hold on the portal due to the heavy traffic it received. So we have decide to share the other alternative to checking the 2014 JAMB UTME results without any slow server and the likes.

2014 JAMB Results is OUT – Here’s How to Check Your Results

To check your results, visit the website www.jamb.org/unifiedtme4. You can easily check your results online using your scratch card.

Even though the JAMB cut-off mark and the 2014 cut-off marks for schools have not been released, you can proactively check the UTME cut-off for last year and the cut-off for POST-UTME set by institutions in 2013.

To Check Your 2014 JAMB UTME Results:

Step 1. Candidates who wrote the 2014 UTME examination and want to check their result are to visit the JAMB official portal at http://www.jamb.org.ng/Unifiedtme4/

Step 2. Now on the UTME Result-checker page that appears, Enter your

Your PIN.

Your Serial Number or Registration Number.

Step 3. Click on SUBMIT, your JAMB utme 2014 RESULT would be displayed to you.

Step 4. Print out your JAMB UTME Result.

If you are having difficulties checking your results on a computer, you can check it on your mobile phones by following these steps:

1. Visit http://www.jamb.org.ng/postregistrationefacility/VerifyResult.aspx?id=16

2. Enter your registration number

3. Click on “Check Result” to view your result.

Change of course and institution form for 2014 will be released soon by JAMB. Thereafter, you can start buying scratch card and change institutions and courses you no longer want. This may be due to low scores or mistakes made while filling your form.

How to do a change of Birth on Jamb

All candidates should visit the 2014 UTME e-portal at http://www.jamb.org.ng/unifiedtme/. However, to access the JAMB/UTME portal for e-registration, you need a scratch card which is being sold for N4,000 at the approved selling outlets nationwide - designated banks, Post offices and JAMB offices nationwide.

The JAMB UTME Scratch card contains a serial number and PIN, two vital information you require for your UTME e-registration. You also need to finger-print. Please see information below for more.
UTME 2014 Biometrics: Only DIGITAL PERSONA Scanners Allowed
In addition to the information above, UTME 2014 registration will also require a finger print scanner like in recent past years. However, JAMB has made it clear that for the 2014 UTME Biometrics,
only DIGITAL PERSONA scanners will be allowed for finger prints capture. Candidates wishing to register for the 2014 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) should take note of this information.

The biometric scanner (finger print reader) will be used to capture the left and right thumbs of the candidates. Candidates are advised to make sure an approved fingerprint reader is available on the computer they intend using for their JAMB UTME 2014 registration as their finger print (left and right thumb) will be read before they can sign-up for a UTME account, which is the first step in the registration process.

Finally, be informed that JAMB accredited registration centers all over Nigeria have been mandated NOT to charge more than N700 from candidates. This amount includes printing of 2 copies of your e-slip. According to a statement on the official JAMB website:

Were you charged above Seven Hundred Naira (NRN 700.00) for registration including printing of two copies of your e-Slip?
Please send mail specifying your Registration Number and the amount charged to UTME2014.info@jamb.gov.ng

Also like in 2013, JAMB UTME 2014 registration must be done on a computer with the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed. This is because the application that runs the JAMB UTME registration portal is based on Java programming language. Minimum of JRE 1.6 is required. Java JRE can be downloaded free from the Internet or JAMB website, if it is not already on your system (about 10MB). Make sure to read the instructions at the registration website before commencing your registration. The JAMB UTME 2014 Brochure is built-into the portal making it easy to search for details of your Jamb UTME courses of choice.

Important notes for candidates:
A) All Candidates are advised to download and PRINT the New 2014 Jamb/UTME Online Registration Template and fill out the form. To download the 2014 Jamb/UTME Online Registration Template, go to the official website: http://www.jamb.org.ng/Unifiedtme.

B) Candidates should note that they are to do their registration ONLY through authorized Business/Computer Centres even if they are able to do the registration themselves using personal computers. This means that candidates cannot use their personal computers to register the JAMB 2014/2015 Form. The list of Authorised Business/Computer Centres/Cybercafe may be accessed through the link below.

C) Before going to any business center or cybercafe to register/complete the JAMB form; be sure to note the followings:

Ensure you download and PRINT the New 2014 JAMB/UTME Online Registration Template.
After you download and print the 2014 Jamb Registration Template, you can take the FORM home and fill it in with the help of the Official 2014 JAMB brochure and other relevant handy information.
After filling the JAMB Registration Template, you may then proceed to any of the approved Business Center or Cybercafe nearest to you to fill in your details online.
